Job Overview

Advancement Courses is seeking consultants to act as Print Course Graders to engage and support learners (K-12 teachers) as they complete rigorous professional development courses in a print-based format.  Print Course Graders must have impeccable written communication skills and the ability to tactfully and effectively support teachers. We require that our coaches’ feedback be positive, highly supportive, constructive, and rubric driven. We are a growing company and need Print Course Graders who are flexible and willing to adapt quickly and positively to rapidly changing processes and procedures. Print Course Graders will report to the Manager of Facilitation and Grading and the Lead Course Facilitator.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide quality, constructive feedback on participants’ coursework submissions in a timely manner and bring in relevant outside information including applicable standards, pedagogy, and resources

  • Follow procedures for tracking and monitoring the progress of all learners in a timely, consistent manner

  • Collaborate with Advancement Courses personnel and with other course facilitators to ensure the best experience possible for all participants

  • Attend, prepare for, and actively contribute to bi-weekly virtual team meetings, check-ins, and ongoing trainings

  • Promptly respond to emails from participants and Advancement Courses personnel


  • A Master’s Degree in the field of education

  • 5-8 years teaching experience with effective ratings

  • 2-4 years of experience coaching/mentoring teachers and/or implementing professional development

  • Content expert in the field of education, including an extensive knowledge of the CCSS and other educational policies (NGSS, ITSE, etc.).

  • Superior organizational skills and ability to consistently meet deadlines

  • Experience reading and responding to adult learners’ written work

  • Comfort and experience with working online, remotely, and independently

  • A computer with access to high-speed Internet, Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel, Google Drive, Adobe Acrobat, and

  • Anywhere between 20 to 45 hours a week of availability
