Social Emotional Learning: Strengthening Hearts and Minds

Goals and Objectives of this Course:

• Use provided prompts specific to social emotional learning (SEL) to describe assumptions and insights of practitioners, researchers and self, including how the information relates to professional educational practice.
• Design a lesson or activity to encourage values identification and use of values relative to social media and decision making, including discussion and reflection.
• Prepare an activity to collaborate with parents and families on SEL.
• Implement an activity focused on self regulation or self management using data and/or literature.
• Develop an action plan to challenge the status quo related to SEL.
